Digital Sales Specialist

Location: Indianapolis, IN

CUMULUS MEDIA | Indianapolis has an immediate opening for a Digital Sales Specialist to provide client leadership for digital marketing campaigns. This person should have experience in project management, account relationships, digital marketing strategy/support, and facilitation of hyper-targeted channel campaigns. The Digital Sales Specialist is responsible for digital revenue, achieving digital sales budgets, is versed in digital assets across all channels like: programmatic display, email deployments, OTT & CTV, mobile, and social media, etc. The Digital Sales Specialist should also understand everything from planning, strategy, best practices, trafficking, and reporting in the digital space. The role will also demand a sales support focus, which will involve developing client plans which include strategy and cost planning as well as a key focus on campaign optimization, reporting and attribution. Daily tasks will include product and process training, client and internal project management, and strategic campaign guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving digital revenue, implement a digital strategy and action plan and help expand the digital acumen & digital marketing expertise for the sales team
  • Build and maintain strong and responsive working relationships with clients as well as vendors, partners, internal teams, etc. Client coordination will be imperative.
  • Research and report on campaign results, and make optimizations accordingly.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our digital products and services, and possess a strong understanding of digital marketing – enough to advise clients and train internal sellers.
  • Plan and lead effective presentations of digital marketing programs, and then follow up with gathering assets, answering questions, trafficking creatives, and reporting.
  • Partner with internal teams to identify ways to continually optimize campaigns, products, and processes to drive client retention, growth, and satisfaction.
  • Facilitate opportunities for deeper collaboration and additional revenue.
  • Assist on client-facing sales presentations as well as post-sale guidance.
  • Research and report on campaign results, and make optimizations accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of client-facing experience in account management and/or digital marketing.
  • Experience with programmatic trafficking and targeted email/display programs.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with effective time management, project prioritization, and keen eye for detail. Must be extremely organized.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to present in a sales or training capacity.
  • Very strong critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong proficiency using Excel (for pricing and analysis) and PowerPoint is necessary.
