Digital Account Executive

Location: Savannah, GA

Cumulus Media – Savannah, GA is seeking a talented and dynamic Digital Account Executive who will be responsible driving digital advertising revenues.  This person will help to develop a newly created and integral position within our company.  They will be driven to understand our full suite of digital offerings and possess the ability to create and present clients with tailored digital marketing solutions.  The role’s primarily focus is to maximize revenue opportunities through the sale of digital products under Cumulus Digital’s C-Suite products and services (search, social, display, email, web design, etc.) and station assets (email, website, app, streaming, podcasts, video, and social).  This is a multi-faceted role that will reward sellers who are able to strategically prospect for business, engage decision makers, develop results oriented digital campaigns, and manage client relationships through a partnered approach.  We are looking for:

Who We Are: 

Cumulus | Savannah currently features 7 stations in the Savannah area and surrounding counties.  Our stations include:  93.1 WEAS-FM Urban, 630 WBMQ-AM Talk, 103.9-FM Magic our Urban Adult Contemporary, 96.6-FM Hit Country, 95.5-FM WIXV-FM Classic Rock and 900 WJLG-AM Sports. The cluster of 6 stations reaches thousands of listeners on a daily basis.     

The Digital Account Executive will identify and develop new business opportunities and grow existing client relationships.  This person will close new digital business to meet or exceed set sales targets by offering solutions that will help clients achieve their business goals.  Key Responsibilities:

  • Able to identify client business needs by gaining a deep understanding of their goals, objectives and processes as well as their external environment including key market and consumer trends to proactively develop customized advertising solutions to meet client objectives
  • Deliver effective sales presentations; negotiation and closing
  • Excel at prospecting and aggressively seeking new clientele by networking, cold calling, canvassing, referrals or other means to build and maintain a full pipeline of sales prospects
  • Follow all station procedures for preparing orders, resolving billing issues, submitting regular reports regarding sales, pipeline lists, forecasts and competitive analysis
  • Serve as a resident expert in all digital solutions offered by Cumulus including our C-Suite products and services as well as station assets
  • Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position Cumulus in the marketplace
  • Think creatively and generate original ideas

 Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, social networking platforms and CRM tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience developing new business relationships in an outside sales role
  • Strong understanding of lead generation and ability to connect with viable prospects
  • Comprehension of sales metrics in order to fill a sales funnel and robust pipeline of residual business
  • Positive attitude with the willingness to get beyond comfort zone to grow professionally
  • High energy and passion for the job
  • Flexible and creative
  • Digitally savvy 
  • Digital Media Sales background preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred.
